After serving his parish in Napoleon for the past 12 years, Father Dan Borgelt will be moving to a dual role for the Catholic Church.  Effective July 1st, Father Dan will be taking over as pastor of St. Joseph’s of Marblehead, Ohio- along Lake Erie.   In addition, he will serve as Vicar for the Diocese of Toledo.

Father Dan Borgelt grew up in Kalida; but had an aunt and uncle, Shirley and Norm Niese, who lived in Napoleon.          He has been active in the community, leading ecumenical services, vacation Bible Schools, and events like the Turtle Fest, along with National Day of Prayer.             The new pastor at St. Augustin will be Father Doug Garand, a native of Rossford, coming from Joan of Arc in Toledo.

The public is invited to say ‘thank you’ and good bye to Father Dan, this Sunday in a celebration of his service at the Napoleon Armory on East Clinton STreet from 11am till 3pm.
