Brooklyn-based vocalist Kirsten Price (and no, she is not the porn actress who bears the same name) is a singer's singer, and her sexy, ferocious, and soulful vocals brim with passion and attitude. Born in London, Price grew up singing in various groups and choirs, finally moving to New York City a week before the September 11, 2001, disaster took place. Studying music by day and teaching piano by night, she did some demo and commercial work before hooking up with producer Frederick Sargolini, and the pair tracked several songs toward an album project. Signing with Sony, Price cut additional material with Raphael Saadiq and Danny Saber, and the album was completed.
