Natives of South Central L.A., the hip-hop soul trio Before Dark included vocalists/dancers Mia, Jeni, and Arike; their singles "Baby" and "Come Correct" were released in 1999, landing the group on #Soul Train. The singles appeared well in advance of their debut album, Daydreamin', which after much delay was finally issued in the summer of 2000.
